The perfect surprise=The perfect gift

Three has unveiled its 2016 Christmas campaign that opens a new chapter in the magical story of ‘The Girl and the Cloud’ through a fully integrated marketing campaign involving a special charity partnership with Barnardos and a beautifully animated mini-film.

Continuing on ‘The Perfect Surprise’ story, Three has brought to life the latest adventures of Anna and her little cloud in a stunningly illustrated children’s book ‘The Girl and the Cloud’, which sees Three work with renowned Irish illustrator Mark Wickham.

The perfect surprise

This enchanting tale follows Anna and her very own snow cloud in the months following Christmas. However, when summer comes and the cloud starts to act strangely Anna decides she’ll do whatever it takes to make the little cloud happy again. It is through her friendship with the cloud that she realises that sometimes a perfect surprise isn’t always the one you get, it’s the one you give.

The perfect surprise

The perfect surprise really is the perfect gift.

And there’s even a short film to go with it!

Fergus Finlay, CEO of Barnardos commented; “At Barnardos we believe that every child deserves the same opportunities in life.  Every child we meet in our work is full of potential and every fundraising partner we work with brings us one step closer to helping children in difficulty reach their full potential.  Thanks to Three and this special book, we will be able to make Christmas a little brighter this year for many children and their families.”

All proceeds from the book will go to Barnardos to support the life transforming services they provide for thousands of children and families in Ireland.

The book is now available for €8.99 in 3Stores, Eason stores nationwide and all Barnardos stores.

Q. I’m would like to start an exercise programme that will benefit my emotional health as much as my physical health, but I don’t know which type of class would be best. Should I consider choosing from yoga, pilates, tai chi, or could you recommend a class, please?

A It’s great that you have decided to get into exercise. The benefits to you are going to be great. You’ll sleep better, have more energy, better skin, reduced stressed, not to mention all the amazing physical benefits of your clothes fitting better, and looking healthy, trim and toned! My advice to you would be to try them all. Even if some don’t offer pay-as-you-go sessions, if you get in touch directly with the instructor, they will almost always let you try it out first to see if it’s for you. All of the above things that you mentioned are great for mental health, so it really will be a personal preference as to which you go for. On top of the classes you mention, all forms of exercise will give you great mental rewards so consider the not so obvious interval training sessions, bootcamp, and circuits too, as you will also feel on top of the world after a class like that.
